Vidiscribe ("we", "us", "our") turns video and audio links into text. This page explains what we collect, why, and how you can control or delete it. If anything here is unclear, email us at support@vidiscribe.com.

1. Information we collect

• Account information — name, email address, and a hashed password, or basic profile details if you sign in with Google.
• Content you submit — the URLs you paste for transcription, and the resulting transcripts and summaries.
• Billing information — if you subscribe to a paid plan, our payment processor collects your card details directly. We never see or store full card numbers.
• Usage data — pages visited, features used, and basic device/browser information, collected to keep the product working and improve it.

2. How we use your information

• To generate and store your transcripts so you can find them later.
• To operate your account, including login, billing, and support.
• To monitor and improve the reliability and accuracy of transcription.
• To send account-related emails (e.g. billing receipts, password resets). We don't send marketing email unless you opt in.

3. Cookies & analytics

We use a small number of cookies to keep you signed in and to understand how the product is used, in aggregate. We don't use cookies to build advertising profiles, and we don't sell data to third parties.

4. Third-party services

We rely on a small number of trusted providers to run Vidiscribe:

• Google Sign-In — if you choose to sign in with Google, we receive your name and email address from Google.
• Payment processing — subscription payments are handled by a PCI-compliant payment processor; we never store raw card numbers.
• Cloud hosting & storage — transcripts and account data are stored with reputable cloud infrastructure providers.

5. Data retention & deletion

We keep your transcripts until you delete them. You can delete any individual transcript, or your entire account and all associated data, at any time from your dashboard. Deletion is permanent and cannot be undone.

6. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data. You can do most of this yourself from your account settings; for anything else, email support@vidiscribe.com and we'll help directly.

7. Children's privacy

Vidiscribe is not directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect personal information from them.

8. Changes to this policy

If we make material changes to this policy, we'll update the date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, notify you by email.
